It seems that wearing a mask is not really an option anymore.<br \/>So how to choose a mask?<br \/>Many have encountered the issue of having non-homologated face masks, therefore we thought of putting together all the necessary and useful information.<\/p>\n<p>Note that all the info is sourced and backed up by official institutions and authorities for the pandemic of COVID-19.<br \/>But please do not hesitate to <strong><a href=\"\/en\/?page_id=1452\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contact us<\/a><\/strong> for any doubts you may have.<br \/>We will be pleased to help!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Firstly, which mask should you use?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you are looking for a normal surgical mask, those are quite easy to find and also cheap.<br \/>But where most of us have encountered issues is with the &quot;fakes&quot; FFP2 and FFP3. We will go deeper into this on the next point.<br \/>Note that in Spain, government has controlled the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boe.es\/buscar\/act.php?id=BOE-A-2020-4577\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">prices of masks<\/a><\/strong> and gels, so resellers\/pharmacies should not sell those items beyond a certain amount.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the information on efficiency of the different types of face masks.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Secondly, what to look at when buying one?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You want to make sure your mask aka PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), is homologated, safe and complies with all requirements.<\/p>\n<p>So check the CE sign on the packaging or the masks themselves if available. Many confuse it with the fake CE sign of China Export for example.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Thirdly, does it have the proper certificate of compliance?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Many persons, businesses and governments have had the issue of fake certificates when purchasing PPE. The European Safety Federation has shared on their website the list of forged and suspicious documents circulating. Find it <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu-esf.org\/covid-19\/4513-covid-19-suspicious-certificates-for-ppe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As an example, one of the most common ones are from the institute <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/entecerma.it\/certificate.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NDE<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Italy. They even update daily, the list of fake certificates encountered.<br \/>List available\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/entecerma.it\/assets\/uploads\/forged_certificate\/file\/5ec3e7e670465.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>.
