Yoga pose meditation

Firstly, it will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of your individuality.

Secondly, you will learn how to connect to your heart and how to listen to your body with compassion and no judgement.

This simplifies the approach to live a life based on Self-Care followed by a sustainable integration.

Thirdly, and based on the holistic self-healing system ThaiVedic, you will learn techniques, that feel right and are beneficial for you.

In conclusion, they will balance your life as well as yourself, in order to develop and live your full potential.

Yoga Practice

This retreat is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. Therefore our yoga teacher, Stefanie, will introduce you to various tools from Yoga & Ayurveda, that will ensure you can fully recharge your batteries:

  • Complete regeneration and strengthening of your body through Yoga
  • Physical and mental relaxation through meditation, Yin Yoga* and Yoga Nidra*
  • Movement in nature in wonderful Essaouira, at the beach or in the surroundings.
  • Ayurvedic Lifestyle Tips about nutrition and daily self-care routines, that will help you to implement your experience in your life at home. The Ayurvedic advice is harmonised with the season and your individual constitution.

Most importantly, you will be able to apply your “lessons learned” right away and integrate them into your daily life.

Activating Yoga in the Morning
The morning practice we will start with a meditation and then go over into mindful and dynamic movement. Therefore it will be the perfect balance between challenging and strengthening your body. Also combined with simply joy to move and relax in-between, to always give yourself room to feel what is changing in your body and mind. Inspired by ANUSARA® Yoga the universal alignment principles will support you to connect yourself more deeply with your body and your true inner potential
Yoga teacher
Stefanie Summer

is a qualified Anusara Yoga Inspired Teacher, Mindful Yin Yoga teacher and a holistic therapist of the ThaiVedic System.

More over, her heart beats for holistic health and Self-Care.

That is to say, she has experienced how Yoga, Meditation & Ayurveda, teach and sharpen body awareness, as well as self-healing and vitality.

Stefanie offers Yoga sessions in small groups, private lessons and Ayurvedic health consultations (Intuitive Vitality Coaching) based on the ThaiVedic System. As a result she helps her students reach their full potential and self-healing.

Yoga Style
Yin Yoga

is a quiet, restorative and passive style of Yoga, that is mainly practised seated and laying down on your back. Consequently it is about releasing tension in the whole body. In fact, the poses are held 3-5 minutes, in order to relax slowly and mindfully into the pose.
Tensions in the muscles and inner organs will physically disengage. Letting go of strains in the body will influence the nervous system which leads to inner peace and a calm mind.
In conclusion, Yin Yoga is regeneration for the body and mind as well as balm for the soul.

Yoga Nidra

is a powerful technique to consciously relax. Literally meaning: the conscious sleep.
Firstly, the main focus is to transform the non-consciousness when sleeping into a mindful sleep. For instance, Yoga Nidra is often described as deep relaxation with inner awareness. It is is practiced laying down on your back, in Shavasana and takes from 20 to 40 minutes.

Yoga Nidra practice

The practice of this yoga is compared to 2 hours of restful sleep. For instance, during the session, you will be following a set of verbal instructions, helping you to bring awareness to your body and mind. Therefore, Yoga Nidra will relax you from daily life hustles, regenerate your body, mind and soul, as well as your creativity and strength your immune system.
In addition, you will be able to release deeply-rooted fears and reach self-awareness with regular practice.

Venue

For this yoga retreat, we have chosen a very special and beautiful eco guest house in Morocco, called Dav Mahal. It is located in the coastal village of Sidi Kaouki, on the outskirts of Essaouira.
In short, you will be enjoying cozy and comfortable rooms, that offer amazing sea views.

Everything has been tastefully decorated with Moroccan artisanal style, which will also allow you to live this experience in the amazing culture.
In addition, a shared and comfortable dining room will host our breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Last but not least, the in-house Hammam can be used daily and is included in the price.

Domes Morocco

Our chosen guest house consists of:

  • 2 spacious domes that accommodate up to 4 persons
  • a fisher-mans cabin for 3 persons
  • a kings room for 2 persons.

However, if you wish to stay in a single room, just let us know and will make it happen 🙂 Just note that an extra fee will apply.
In any event, the capacity of our chosen guest house is 16 persons, included our yoga teachers. (in this case, 2)

Nevertheless, the yoga shala fits comfortably 20 persons.

Furthermore, you can choose between a beautiful inside space with large windows and sea views, or the terrace with the breathtaking views of the ocean and bay of Sidi Kaouki.

In resume, a beautiful scenery that will allow you to practice yoga and meditation like no where, as well as getting the best out of your chosen holiday.

Please be informed that 50% of the total price will be your reservation fee.

Cancellation policy:

You can cancel your reservation until 45 days before the start of the yoga retreat. Therefore, after that, no refund will be possible.
Please also note that we reserve the right to cancel the event in case the minimum of participants is not reached (in this case, 8 persons) or in case of “force majeure”. Nevertheless, if we have to cancel the retreat, you will get 100% refund.

And finally please be aware that we will not book more than 14 persons for this retreat. As we want to make sure your experience is fully enjoyed 🙂

Additional info
  • Best arrival airport would be Essaouira, you can get direct flights from Germany, UK, Belgium and France.
    Otherwise you can find a lot of flights to Marrakech, which is a 2 hours drive until Essaouira.
  • Bring warm clothes, it can get fresh at night.
